Lando Norris Takes Hungarian GP Pole Ahead of Lewis Hamilton

Lando Norris has claimed his first pole position of the 2026 Formula 1 season at the Hungarian Grand Prix. The McLaren driver set a blistering 1m17.207s lap in the closing moments of qualifying. Norris narrowly beat Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton by an incredibly tight margin of just 0.012 seconds. This result means Mercedes has suffered its first grand prix qualifying loss of the year.
