Russian Drone Hits Ukraine Train Near Border After Boris Johnson Transit

A Russian drone strike hit the locomotive of a Warsaw-bound passenger train at Yahodyn station in western Ukraine, roughly two kilometres from the Polish border. Ukrainian state railway operator Ukrzaliznytsia stated that diplomatic trains carrying former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson had departed the border station shortly before the attack, while former CIA Director David Petraeus was on a separate train present at the station. Passengers evacuated approximately fifteen minutes before impact, and no casualties were reported. Ukrainian officials described the incident as a grave escalation near NATO borders, while railway authorities suggested the delegations might have been targeted.
